Favorite Painter pt.2

I really enjoy Claude Monet’s paintings. His use of color is something I admire, I also love his short brush strokes of different color it really brings his subject to life. This painting, Stacks of Wheat(Sunset, Snow Effect) really attracted me when I visited the art institute of Chicago. He painted many painting of the same subject in different times of the day, stacks of wheat, however, this one was the most memorable for me, because of the use of complimentary colors. It is oil on canvas and is painted in 1890.
