My favorite painter is Johannes Vermeer! I have always been fascinated by Vermeer and his life story since I was little and I read a book about him! I love his use of natural light, often coming through windows in old Dutch households! He also has very limited number of pieces and I think the limited amount of his work compared to some other artists is intriguing. I would like to one day, see every painting of his! The painting I attached is named The Milkmaid, made in 1657, and is currently on display in Amsterdam at the Rijksmuseum!
